Why We Built This Site
Utah record access depends on the custodian. Box Elder Booking answers current-custody questions by phone, the filing courts keep charge and disposition histories, and BCI maintains the fingerprint-supported Utah repository. Utah Department of Corrections and the state offender registry publish their own limited records. We assembled the verified request steps, fees, office details, and official links that distinguish those sources.

This is a privately operated reference resource, with no affiliation to a Utah court, police department, sheriff, or state agency. That means several services are outside our role:
- We do not retrieve records or perform official background checks
- We cannot submit GRAMA requests or expungement papers for a reader
- We do not issue certified court files, police reports, or repository records
- We cannot apply Utah law to an individual case or give legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency will never change an address, fee, or procedure
An official copy must come from the agency that maintains it, such as the sheriff, filing court, or Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification.
